Does your child LOVE music, but not quite ready for those formal sit-down lessons?

Kindermusik for the Young Child is your little one's Pre-piano/formal instrument venue!

Kindermusik for the Young Child is an incredibly enriched 2-year musical learning journey which will teach your child to be a confident, musically literate, note-reading, beat-keeping, ensemble savvy, composing, improvising, lesson-ready music maker!

Young child is an exciting, fun and fabulous place to be for your budding musicians. It provides your child with the tools and knowledge to begin formal instruction with an enthusiasm and continued love for music that will stay with them forever.  I encourage you to give them this wonderful experience that will benefit them for years to come!

Listen as your child astonishes you with her newfound ability to create musical compositions. Kindermusik for the Young Child provides a pressure-free, developmentally appropriate transition to musically succeed before taking on more formal instruction.

Kindermusik provides the opportunity to explore voice development, rhythm, notation, musical symbols and authentic pre-keyboard, string and woodwind instruments.

Young Child helps every child develop a confident, joyful voice for singing and speaking as well as essential building blocks for a future of learning.

Designed for children ages 4½ through 6 years, classes meet once a week for 60 minutes. Students explore many facets of the musical experience - speaking, singing, moving, dancing, listening, creating and playing instruments, as well as learning about reading and writing music. As the capstone to the child's Kindermusik journey, Young Child broadens and deepens the child's introduction to the fulfillment and excitement of musicianship.

Over the 2 year period, your child will learn how to play simple songs and melodies on 3 instruments which are theirs to take home and keep:  The Glockenspiel, the Dulcimer & the Recorder. From their experience and exposure to these 3 instruments, quite easily most children are able and ready to transfer their knowledge on to whichever instrument they discover they are most interest in - piano, violin, guitar, flute, cello? Oh the possibilities! Additionally we explore with an abundance of percussion instruments such as drums, shakers, cymbals, triangles, etc. in class.
