Musical greetings friends!
My name is Miss. Orly and I have been the very passionate and proud owner/director of Kindermusik With Orly since 2007, shortly after my son, Daniel, was born. Being musical since a very young age, my first move was to look for an infant music program for him. Lo & behold I came across Kindermusik! However, a strange revelation came over me as I embarked on this journey with my little guy during summer classes...I was hooked and knew this was where I meant to begin the next chapter of my life. With that I had an amazing opportunity to begin my Kindermusik Career that very year, filling the very big footsteps of Susan Rooke, who had been running Kindermusik at the JCC since 1988!
My musical education started at the age of 4 with Piano Lessons that I had taken for several years through the Royal Conservatory. I also took vocal lessons and coaching, was involved in many choirs, and have sung for weddings and special events. Prior to Kindermusik, I spent several years teaching Piano & Vocal to children in my home, as well as in a classroom setting for kids from Kindergarten to Grade 8.
Professionally, I earned my College Degree in Human Resources Management, and spent several successful years working in this field. However, my passion always lay with children & music and to be able to combine these two passions fills my heart with wonderment and joy every day.
By the way, my son continued on his Kindermusik journey along with me - he went through all the programs! When he graduated from Kindermusik for The Young Child at the age of 6 years old he moved right into piano. At the age of 15, he is quite a proficient piano player and trombonist..but let me tell ya..he also loves to sing and rock it out on his drums too! Can you tell I'm a proud mama? ;-)
